KFC bucket of F1 Chicane?
Another day another Killer campaign from KFC. They used their Bucket color and matched the style with F1 Race circuit’s Chicane (those red and white sideways in the F1 Racing circuits) and delivered a catchy Ads even without mentioning of F1, we call it a Killer ad marketing!
Apple’s Strategy: F1 Movie and beyond
How far will you go to advertise your brand? make a Reel? Billboards? TV ads? what if there is a Brand that made a whole movie to use it as an advertisement, Yes the recent F1 The Movie is a advertisement for the Apple.
If you are not convinced let us brief: The average revenue per day for Apple is 1 Billion and the lifetime of F1 movie’s box-office collection would be 500 Million, that's Apple’s half day sales. For making the movie Custom Iphones were made and used as camera which helped them boost their visibility. Secondly Apple TV+ has eyes on the Actual F1 sports streaming rights, with this movie they are very loud and clear about the intention of them to gain the sports rights of F1.
Would you go this far to promote your brand?
Re-band, Brand Refresh is getting out of the hand
At this point every single Brand is going through a Brand Refresh or a complete rebrand. King’s Hawaiian, Gerber, Vitaminwater etc., all these brands are getting a new fresh visual identity. Some are good and some are mediocre. What do you think of all the recent brand refresh inc. big brands like Google, Adobe, Jaguar and other’s visual direction?
with this we finish the first section of the Newsie.
Anatomy of Brands - Coke x Santa Claus:
This might be a small story but some of you might just get blown away after reading this. The images below is the visual representation of Santa Claus before 1930’s. So what happened after that, Coca-Cola came into picture.
Coca-Cola took their Branding and fused it with Santa Claus to their advantage. The pictures below are the Santa Claus after 1930’s and Coke played a vital role in Giving Santa a new identity.
The Red and white themed Santa Claus who we see now is the brand identity of Coca-Cola, which shaped the rest of the generation to believe the real color of Santa’s costume and his happy smile are a cultural thing, little do they know it was the Coke who gave the Identity to Santa.
